🥸 Movember: Let's Get the Guys Talking
November is Movember, the month for men's health. This year the message is simple: show up for the men in your life, and help them show up for themselves. 💙 Why it matters - Men are often taught to push through, keep quiet, and handle it alone. That makes it harder to talk about stress, low moods, or loss, and harder to reach out for help. Over half of men who do reach out for care say they felt rushed or brushed off, and many do not go back. 🗣️ Breaking the silence - Mental health is health. Talking about it is not weakness, it is how we take care of ourselves. A simple "How are you really doing?" can open the door. 🌱 In honour of Movember Feel and Grow: Mental Health and Grieving will be a safe, judgement free space where everyone, men included, can talk openly about mental health and loss. Course coming soon! 💬 𝗚𝘂𝘆𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴? 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲? The Health Exchange ⚠️ Not medical advice. Consult your provider before changing care. 💚 It's Safe to Ask Here.

The Room to Breathe is now free
“I could use a calm room here in Skool. That is what encouraged me to join.” – a member of The Room. That’s why I just made The Room to Breathe free 🩷. I don’t want a price to be the thing between a tired woman and a place to breathe it’s a quiet space for women who carry a lot in their heads. And I made it easy on purpose: No time? one minute a day is enough No energy to post? you can just read Nothing to catch up on, ever Nothing to buy to belong if your mind feels full, you’re in the right place: Come take a seat in The Room.

🌱 FREAKY FRIDAY: YOU POSTED YOUR LINK… AND HEARD CRICKETS. NOW WHAT? 👀🦗
Have you ever joined a community, introduced yourself, shared your community link or promoted your offer once or twice… …and nothing happened? No comments. No new members. No enquiries. Maybe not even a like. 🦗😅 And then you start wondering… 🤔 Does this actually work? 🤔 Is anyone even seeing my posts? 🤔 Should I stop sharing because nobody seems interested? Before you give up, here's something worth remembering. 💚 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂. Someone might notice your post without commenting. They might remember your name but not be ready to act. They might see your offer today and only become interested weeks later. But here's the other side of it… 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁.😉 It's also about building relationships, contributing to conversations, sharing genuinely useful content and helping people understand what you do and who you help. Sometimes we need to give people time to get to know us. Other times, we need to look at where we're showing up, who we're reaching and how we're communicating our value. 🌱 Keep showing up. 🌱 Keep connecting. 🌱 Keep learning what works. 🌱 Keep building relationships, not just dropping links. And please, don't judge your entire marketing strategy by the response to one or two posts! 💚 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗬 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: Have you ever shared something, heard absolutely nothing, and wondered whether it was worth continuing? Or has someone surprised you by saying they'd been watching what you were doing for weeks or months before finally reaching out? Come and share your experience below! Let's remind each other that we're not the only ones who sometimes hear those crickets. 😂

@Valerie Hail Yes. Inside our communities, our members get to know us. In order to get them there, we have to give them little bits of ourselves in posts out and about Skool, so they get to know who we are.

I have been blessed with supporters who do not often let my posts sit without a response and I am now trying to do this inside The Exchange. Definitely need to be out there as often as you can to get people to see you. Few are joining the first time they hear or see The Exchange!
🌱 From One Voice to an Exchange: The Story of Ask Lynne
It all began with advocacy. As a retired nurse and medical transcriptionist, I started out helping people speak up for themselves in health care. A need I had identified years ago. Soon I saw a bigger need. To be a good self advocate, people first need to understand their own health information. So Ask Lynne, the health educator, was born. One day I realized I did not want to be the only voice in the room. My members deserved to learn from many voices. ✨ 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼 𝗔𝘀𝗸 𝗟𝘆𝗻𝗻𝗲’𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻. Ask Lynne’s Health Exchange revolves around health literacy and helping health-related communities to grow, alongside those who seek them! What that means: - Health literacy: plain language help to understand your diagnosis, lab results, and health questions - Helping health communities grow: visibility for the health communities of Skool, so they can reach more people with connection, collaboration and networking - Alongside those who seek them: health seekers finding the communities and support they need, all in one place (this could be any Skooler). 🔑 𝗡𝗼𝘄: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 The Exchange is becoming a one stop community for all things health, with small communities inside the community, built as living courses in our classroom, where members grow together: - Connect and Grow: Networking on Skool for community owners - Preserve and Grow: Move, Motivate, Moderate for health preservation - A yet to be named home for mental health and grief 👉 Join us while we grow into everything you need to support your health! The Health Exchange 💚 It’s Safe to Ask Here.

🗣️ Self Advocacy: Your Voice in Your Health Care
Self advocacy means speaking up for yourself in your health care. It is not about being difficult. It is about being a partner in the decisions that affect your body and your life. ❓ Why Asking Questions Matters - Questions help you understand your diagnosis, your tests, and your choices - Doctors make better plans when they know what matters to you - You are more likely to follow a plan you understand and agreed to 📝 Simple Ways to Speak Up - Write your health questions down before your appointment - Ask "What are my options?" and "What happens if I wait?" - Ask the doctor to explain again if something is not clear. Saying "I do not understand" is always okay - Bring someone with you for a second set of ears - Remember, asking for a second opinion is your right Big picture: no one knows your body and your life better than you do. Your voice belongs in the room. What is one question you wish you had asked at a past appointment? Tell us in the comments. 👇 ⚠️ Not medical advice. Consult your provider before changing care. 💚 It's Safe to Ask Here.
