When clients don't trust you...
Ever feel like some clients just won't let their guard down? You give them the moon... But they still act like you're trying to scam them Double-checking everything. Questioning your methods. Holding back in sessions. And it feels personal. Like they don't trust YOU. Here's the truth: Their trust issues have nothing to do with you. Because the emotional wall they’ve built was standing long before you showed up. Think about it... Your client isn't just "Sarah from Manchester" who needs help with her business. She's Sarah who got burned by three other coaches. Who watched her friend lose money on a fake guru. Who grew up with parents who taught her "everyone's trying to take advantage." People don't distrust YOU - they distrust their past experiences. Your job isn't to break down their walls. Or prove you're different. Or convince them to trust you. Your job is to show up consistently. To deliver what you promise. To be patient while they learn - at their own pace - that not everyone is out to get them. Because trust isn't built by grand gestures. It's built by small moments of reliability. Every time you show up on time. Every promise you keep. Every result you deliver. Eventually, those walls come down. Not because you forced them to... But because you made it safe for them to fall. Remember this next time a client seems sceptical. It's not about you. It's about every person who came before you. And the only way to change their story... Is to give them a better one. Have you experienced this? How did you handle it?

I have experienced this, but as the client. I was recently with a coach. I trusted her and her process but It took me a while to open up due to my past experiences with people. But when I did, she immediately mentioned trust issues, and asked if I wanted to her to change her coaching style, and that if she did I would't get the results, etc etc. I was really taken aback. I did not expect her to take it personally and I had to say that I wasn't asking anything of her. But I realized that the situation was a set back for me. It reinforced beliefs I have about keeping myself safe. It also made me reflect on my coaching. We always have to take ourselves out of it. But if there is a situation where you feel like it is about you, don't assume, ask a question. After all, that's what coaches do ask questions. Get clarity on what the client is expereincing. And as Ed said, keep showing up and being consistent.

@Donna Semeniuk This is true. But as coaches we have to really assess if the person simply doesn't want help (which seems unlikely if they are getting coaching) or is simply very gaarded and needs time and space to let go. We have to hold space for them and not rush the process as long as they are doing the work and getting results, they will become more vulnerable when they are ready. The key is, when they do open up, be their for them with support and compassion because it was likely hard work for them to get to that point.
Can I give you more help to go faster?
Team Expert Coach was just thinking And looking at the stats of the amount of people that do not complete the course Which blows my mind I was wondering what you would need to get through the program quicker? or just complete it hahaha - Would it help if I provided a short weekly video answering your questions Or calcifying the topics for you more that are within the EC Program - I could do a weekly video on Youtube for you to help speed up your processes? Any thoughts welcome

@Jacqueline O Am happy that you have been able to build new perspectives from taking this course. I certainly did and it has opened up new outlooks. I totally agree that it would take a lifetime to revisit!

ECA - Guys I have an idea whats your thoughts on this? VIRAL CLUB?
Was thinking adding something to your membership Where we support each others organic content So every-time we post we comment and watch each others posts The goal to help all of us to increase engagement It wouldn't take long per day So when you join ECA we all follow each other to help each other become better a producing content. The reason being because I am in the middle of preparing a new training that supports the COA Training System That you could implement to get booked calls Through going viral online. As you know I am not into posting online without a purpose We have tested so many things over the years Organic content if you can go viral is great However to go viral it does take knowing how to do it and a testing mindset. We havent gone viral for a while with our own content on IG (2m views on IG ) We went viral several times on Tik Tok (7 million views) We went semi viral on clubhouse in 2020 getting hundreds of leads per day sometimes 600 per day I used to go viral on facebook in 2017 frequently and we filled a lot of events off the back of it. So I am about to start a new process specifically focused on short form content That can be used along side our COA method I could then drip feed back to you guys what we are seeing and help you develop a specific viral theme for your niches etc. My thoughts are even if you didn't go viral You would learn how to produce better content Which would help your ability to sell better Which would help you understand your client better Which would help you become a better coach Whats your thoughts? 1 2 or 3? - No 1: Sounds like something that you would be interested in? - No 2: Sounds like too much time? - No 3: A dilution of focus for you - rather focus on becoming a better coach?

1. This is definitely something I'm interested in. I don't see much of the content from other coaches related to what I do go viral, so I am eager to see if it is possible.
