I started the Skool Monetisation Lab on a 14-day free trial. Set it up on a Thursday. By Friday, someone had subscribed at $5 a month. 🤯 Here is the thing. There was nothing there. A welcome post. An empty classroom. That was it. Now, I had a lot of content online, so this person already knew who I was. I am not pretending I built this out of nowhere. But even knowing that, I was genuinely shocked. I expected people to wait until there was something to see. They didn't wait. And it reminded me that your audience is often further along in trusting you than you think. The lesson I took from it is simple. Don't wait until everything is ready. Everything is never ready. The person who subscribed to an empty community did not need a full course or a polished classroom. They just needed to back someone they already believed in. Start before you are ready. So I have been spending my long weekend creating for etsy and getting things done in my community but I really want to sit down later and watch a good movie with my 12 year old boy. He is into scary horror (I am not) I don't mind thrillers, or adventures. I even tired Matrix and Rims of the earth last week but he got bored half way through. What suggestions do you all have ?

In the UK, May Day, the fist Monday in May is always a public bank holiday. It's usually celebrated with street fetes of which we've just come back from cold and saturated (it was sunny when we left then poured down, so we dived under cover into the nearest record shop), but I did manage to find some rare 1980's vinyl for my collection. So normally weekends for me are non-negotiable family, friends and me time. I'm telling you this so you know I haven't just abandoned you all... it's 2 days (3 in this case) where I enjoy scheduled evergreen time with my family and more local friends, and things that give me joy. Even if that's just watching TV with my kids like I did this morning. So, I'll be a bit quieter at weekends . Just letting you know why. Hope you're all enjoying a lovely one.
