☕🌿 Wednesday Café Night — Nourish Through Color
This Wednesday, we continue Week 14 — NOURISH with a gentle, foundational color session 🌿 🌿 Week 14 Focus: NOURISH This week is about feeding your creativity with softness, curiosity, and care—and color is one of the simplest ways to do that. 🎨 Session Notes 🌈 Color Basics — Warm vs. Cool + Emotional Tone Directions: Create two sections on your page: warm colors and cool colors. Experiment with simple swatches and notice how each group feels. Prompts: - Which colors feel energizing vs. calming? - What emotions do I associate with certain colors? - Which tones do I naturally gravitate toward? 🖌️ Layering Simple Color Washes Directions: Using watercolor, markers, or any medium you have, apply light layers of color. Let them overlap and build gradually—no need for precision. Prompts: - What happens when colors overlap? - How does layering change the feeling of the page? - Can I let go of control and let the colors blend naturally? ☕ Café Share — Favorite Materials + Tools Directions: Bring a favorite tool, color, or material to share with the group. Talk about why you enjoy it or how it supports your creative flow. Prompts: - What tools feel most natural or comforting to me? - What materials make me want to create more? - How can I simplify what I use while still feeling inspired? ☕ Café Vibes Think: soft colors, gentle layering, shared inspiration, and cozy creative conversation 🌙 This is a space to explore color without pressure—just curiosity and care.

🌙 Community Update — A New Chapter + Gentle Rhythms Ahead
☕Hi everyone 🤍 I wanted to share a small (but exciting) update about what’s been unfolding behind the scenes—and what you might start noticing here in our space. ✨ We’re now part of Skool Discovery This means our community can now be found by more artists and creatives looking for a space just like this one. It’s a quiet kind of growth—nothing about who we are is changing—but it does mean new people may begin finding their way here. If you’ve been here for a while… thank you. You are the reason this space feels the way it does. 🌿 🌙 A Gentle Shift for the Next Few Weeks As we move deeper into working on The Blue Star project (heading toward the end of May), our energy is going to be a little more focused behind the scenes. To keep things feeling steady and nourishing here, we’ll be: ☕ Bringing back some of our favorite free courses 🌿 Re-highlighting gentle starting points for creative practice 📓 Making space for slower, self-paced engagement Think of this as a return to the “open café” feeling—where you can come in, explore, and create at your own pace. ⭐ The Blue Star (Soft Invitation) If you’ve been curious about what we’re building together, this is a really special time to peek in. The project is slowly taking shape, piece by piece, with community creations becoming part of something larger. No pressure at all—but if it’s been on your heart, you’re warmly invited to explore the project page and see what’s growing. 💫 Thank you for being here, for creating, for sharing space with one another. This season is a quiet kind of meaningful—and I'm really glad you’re part of it.☕

Free for all Friday
So as you all know I have been working on star images by the ton lately. I had a couple today I wanted to try a few different ideas on. I seriously love how well these both turned out that I'm making a series of watercolor stars!!! Any ideas what I should do with them??

🌗 Sunday Session — Nourish Your Creative Ecosystem
✨Week 14 — NOURISH… A gentle shift into awareness, care, and release 🌿 🌙 Last Quarter Focus This phase invites us to release what drains and make space for what truly supports us. Before we add more…we pause and ask: What is actually feeding my creativity? ✍️ Session Notes 🌿 Energy Audit Journaling — What Drains vs. Feeds You Directions: Divide your page into two columns: Drains and Feeds. Take a few minutes to reflect honestly on your current creative habits, environment, and energy. Prompts: - What leaves me feeling creatively depleted? - What activities, spaces, or thoughts feel nourishing? - Where am I overextending myself creatively? - What feels simple, supportive, or life-giving? ✨ Gentle Release Ritual — Creative + Emotional Directions: Write down what you’re ready to release—this could be pressure, comparison, expectations, or habits. Then choose a gentle way to let it go: - Cross it out - Tear the page - Cover it with soft marks or color - Transform it into something new Prompts: - What am I holding onto that no longer supports me? - What would feel lighter if I released it? - What am I making space for? 🌱 Draw Your “Creative Soil” Directions: Imagine your creativity as something growing from soil. Draw or abstractly represent the “soil” that supports you—textures, patterns, colors, or symbols. Prompts: - What does supportive creative energy feel like? - What conditions help me grow best? - What would I like more of in my creative environment? 🌿 A Soft Reminder You don’t need to do more to grow—sometimes you just need to clear space and nourish what’s already there.

☕ Wednesday Café Night — Build Your Creative Foundations
Midweek, we gather again for our Skill-Building + Café Night — and this one is all about grounding through the basics Week 13 Focus: ROOT This week, we’re strengthening the foundation beneath everything you create. Simple. Steady. Supportive. ✏️ Session Notes 🖊️ Line Confidence + Mark Stability Directions: Fill a page with slow, intentional lines. Try straight lines, curved lines, and repeated strokes. Focus on moving your hand steadily rather than perfectly. Prompts: - What happens when I slow my hand down? - Which lines feel most natural to me? - Where do I feel tension vs. ease while drawing? 🌱 Simple Plant + Organic Form Sketching Directions: Using references (real or imagined), sketch simple leaves, stems, or organic shapes. Break them down into basic lines and curves. Keep it loose and observational. Prompts: - What shapes repeat in nature? - How can I simplify what I see? - What feels more intuitive—observing or imagining? 🔁 Repetition as Grounding Practice Directions: Choose one shape, line, or small form and repeat it across your page. Let it become a pattern. Focus on rhythm rather than variation. Prompts: - How does repetition affect my focus or mood? - When does it start to feel calming vs. tedious? - What kind of rhythm naturally emerges?
