I just want to thank you! I did not show up for you guys with the rainbow hair on the call, and I am sorry for that.. You all showed up for me the day before. I want to thank a few specific people and limit myself to a few of you because I can't possibly get everyone who supported me correctly. This whole group is incredible. You all were with me on the rainbow run. The rainbow run was such a special way to end the day of insane activity. I'll apologise for the 2.444 activities I probably mostly did in here that day...🤷🏼‍♀️ SORRY Goosify!! You are all the reason I got my flame 🔥 and became a rainbow 🌈, on the same day that I have been here for a month. I spent the evening listening to this song on repeat. Do you woo woo? (Is this post ok here?) I was raised kinda woo woo...it's part of what makes me weird. I love biofeedback for self-regulation, meditation, mindfulness... So there I was, tangled in Reformer straps like a human pretzel, when my Pilates instructor Lauren dropped this bomb: "Think of yourself as a seahorse." Me: "What are you talking about?" Lauren: eyes gleaming with marine biology passion, "Seahorses have the most romantic daily ritual! Every morning, they dance together to strengthen their bond. They change colours, intertwine tails, and pirouette around shared holdfasts!" She starts demonstrating on the Reformer, moving like a graceful sea creature while I look like a beached whale. "And get this," she continues, "the MALE gets pregnant! The female has an ovipositor—basically a penis-equivalent—and deposits eggs into his brood pouch!" The entire class stopped, while Lauren continued. "He carries up to 2,000 babies and goes into labour for HOURS, pumping and thrusting to birth them all!" She even showed us a video. Honestly, the birthing motion looks like he's sneezing. Then, get this, they immediately mate again. 🙄 Every day's a school day for me. What about you? What obscure fact have you learned today?
