Birthday Card Campaigns
Hi everyone! If you send out automated birthday cards to your clients, what software do you use for that? We were using MarketingPro but they got bought out by FMG and FMG's Birthday Card Campaign is a little too generic for what we're looking for. It would be really ideal if we could customize the message on the inside a bit and possibly choose the card design that is being sent out. Thanks in advance!

@Marcella Toronto we do both handwritten and digital. I've never heard a client prefer one over another. It is a time vacuum to handwrite, but we feel it is more personal. We like having the digital too, in case a snail mail card gets returned for whatever reason; it's a built in fail safe.

Are firms using Redtail Speak or other tools for texting with clients. If you are how are you archiving this information?

RMDs in Redtail
Does anyone have an efficient system to track & manage RMDs (through Redtail or otherwise)? I have seen several methods using contact & account UDFs, but find that I'm still also using a trusty Excel spreadsheet to keep all of the intricacies straight. Would love a system that could also be easily accessed & understood by the rest of the office when clients call with RMD questions. Thanks!

@Kate Guillen we currently put "RMD 20XX" as a UDF in Redtail, with the Yes/No option. This is where we identify when the RMD has been taken for the year. Redtail already has a template report for "Contacts by RMD" which is how we determine if they should get the UDF assigned to them. Does it make sense to also add the RMD Keyword to these clients, or is that overkill?

@Kate Guillen I chuckled while reading your comment. I feel like we are juggling all of those steps simultaneously as we look at our practice and growth potential.
