Burnout….!?
I don't know about you all but I’ve been on burnout mode for a while now. Stressing way to much on project deadlines that it completely “kills” the creative artist within me. Anyone relate? What do you all do for fun? How do you get out of a creative block?

Feel like you could be narrating my life right now. There is too much to do and not enough time to do it, and no possibility to delegate. Would have tried to do to mitigate it as much as possible because I have started running again. There's something about the activity and the disconnection of running outside that is at least slightly refreshing. When I get to this level of burnout, I have ideas for designs, the actual creation of them just seems to stall out so bad. I have been trying to force myself to just sit down and get some type of work completed, everything completed is one less thing on the list that needs to be done. My thought process is if the list can seem manageable to my mind, perhaps the burnout will feel reduced as well?

@Annelize Erasmus It definitely could. Between the bilateral movement benefits on your mind, being outside in nature under the sun under the blue sky has been shown to increase cognitive efficiency.
Wallpaper!
Did some more wallpaper this week. This time we nailed it!

Wins and losses
Hey all!! Tell us a bit of how the last few weeks have been going? - What wins did you have and - What losses have you encounterd? Me, I once again took on a wallpaper print and apply project. I promised myself a few years ago I won’t do wallpaper again as it was just issue after issue. Then again I did two big walls and both failed to stick, made bubbles and I was faced with refunding the client or reprinting it all and redoing it. I had to learn, that the walls primer paint is important to be proper. With reprinting the smallest piece and reapplying it I (actually my team) learn a better application process as well. Even though it was a loss, it turned into a win! My team actually saved the big wallpaper by knowing how to actually apply better and by heat gun and a roller applicator tool they fixed the large wallpaper with elbow grease. Overall it was a headache but the wins overwhelmed the loss!

Wall art is very picky about the surface, glad to hear you figured out an easier way to do it! For me, I picked up 5 clients, with one of my larger profit projects (non embroidery) that will go to the factories in the next few days. Tonight, spent 45 minutes and made $140, so not a bad end to the day either.

@Annelize Erasmus one of my long term clients (also my day job) has me produce the stickers that go on the back of every car we sell. This particular store has an obnoxiously large sticker, so the cost is a bit higher, and I knocked out just under 50 stickers in 45 minutes, gross revenue $140. Materials: $3.00ish Machine wear and tear: let's say $2.50 The rest was my labor.
Post some work!!
If you design or just starting to, post some of your recent work! Super excited to see what everyone has been working on!?!? I will go first….

@Makeda Benjamin it's the cost of not being as careful as I should have been. I will see what I can do to get it repaired and get it back up and running when I am prepared to do all the other stuff that front requires. Thanks for the condolences.

@Annelize Erasmus I can imagine! What also leads to my hesitation, is if I set mine up, it has to be in a temperature and humidity controlled area. Not ready to build that up again
Subscriptions!? Help with artwork
I use Freepik.com a lot! Also a fan of unsplash. Anyone use some nice other websites?? Let us know so we can all be in the know.

Depending on what type of assets I need, vecteezy has some good things to work with. I am really sad all-silhouettes sold to a pay provider, so many good, free vector shapes used to be available on there.

@Annelize Erasmus agreed, it leads me to making more "photos" to use in creative via AI, to avoid the additional cost at present.
