Well since you should never ever feed a cat tuna… I hope my cat would choose wisely

@Ocean Darling no I’m sorry that’s not true and if a vet told u that u should never see that vet again Here are just a few reasons why canned tuna is not a safe or healthy choice for cats: Mercury risk – Tuna is high on the food chain, which means it can accumulate mercury. Over time, mercury exposure can harm your cat’s nervous system. Thiamine depletion – Fish-heavy diets can destroy thiamine (Vitamin B1). Deficiency may lead to neurological problems and even seizures. Addictive taste – Many cats develop a strong preference for tuna and may refuse to eat more balanced foods afterward. Histamine reaction – Canned tuna can develop high histamine levels if it isn’t handled properly, which can trigger allergic reactions or digestive upset. Sodium overload – Human-grade tuna often has added salt, which can stress the kidneys and heart over time and give you cat crystals it can dies from Risk of steatitis (yellow fat disease) – A tuna-heavy diet lacks enough Vitamin E, leading to painful inflammation of body fat. Kidney stress – Excess protein and phosphorus in tuna may worsen kidney disease, especially in older cats. Bone fragments – Some canned tuna contains small bones that can injure the mouth, throat, or gut. Encourages picky eating – Feeding tuna “just as a treat” often trains cats to demand it, making diet management harder in the long run.

When do cats introduce their kittens?
Re-posting from @Sharnell Greer — Recently, his cat had kittens 🐱✨ and he made a super helpful info sheet for anyone expecting furbabies soon! A huge thank you to Sharnell for putting together and sharing this valuable information with us! 🙏💕 ❓ He’s a bit concerned about their well-being since she hasn’t brought them out yet and he hasn’t heard them meowing. 👶❓ ➡️ If you have experience raising newborn kittens, please share your insights and tips with the community! ⬅️ 😻💞

Depends on the cat and the environment. it’s pretty normal for mama cats to keep them tucked away and quiet for the first couple of weeks. Instinct tells her to keep them hidden and silent so they stay safe. If Mama’s calm, eating, nursing, and caring for them, that’s usually a good sign. But if he notices she’s restless, distressed, or there’s no sign of the kittens after a couple of days, it might be worth gently checking the nest or reaching out to a vet for peace of mind.

I’m studying small animal naturopathic medicine with a focus on cats and nutrition. I’m in the middle of writing a deep dive article about the parasite: Toxoplasma gondii. I swear I learn new things about cats everyday 😳

@Feline Peeps I wasn’t sure if that was ok. Thx.
