Update!
As we approach our first year anniversary, I think it’s a good idea to take a look at what we have accomplished together. There’s so much more in store, but it’s important to appreciate how far we have all come in this journey! Angel Kim and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for helping us shape this into the experience it has grown into. We couldn’t have done it without you. And as we move toward the next chapter, we hope that you all will continue to support each other as you always have. Our goal is not to simply survive, but to thrive. And it is our mission to provide resources and opportunities that will make that possible. Stay Zen!

Yay! One I can get on after work!
A Small Change For July
6/25/26 Good Morning Stay Zen Members. Beginning in July, we’ll be transitioning from daily writing prompts to weekly prompt drops every Sunday. As our community continues to grow and life continues to life, we know everyone’s schedules are full. Between work, family, creativity, and everything else we’re building, we want our prompts to inspire, not overwhelm. Each Sunday, you’ll receive a fresh collection of prompts to explore throughout the week, giving you the freedom to write at your own pace while still staying connected to the journey. Quality over quantity.Depth over deadlines. Thank you for growing with us. We can’t wait to see where these weekly prompts take your pen. Co-Founder of Stay Zen Founder of Love & Lyrics Angel Kim

I love this! I tried to write everyday in April. And try to keep up after that. It certainly helps keep me going creatively. I'm afraid if I stop, I'll lose it. But weekly may be better to write to those during the week, or when I'm off work.
Today’s Prompts 6/19/26
What Is Juneteenth? Juneteenth is more than a date. It is memory. It is truth. It is resistance. It is every story that refused to disappear. This prompt series invites writers, poets, storytellers, and truth-tellers to engage the history, the pain, the legacy, and the questions still waiting for answers. From injustice to identity. From remembrance to reckoning. Choose a prompt. Write boldly.Speak honestly. Leave your fingerprints on the conversation. Because some stories were buried on purpose. Write It. Speak It. Change It. History Should Sue For Defamation How many times Do I have to turn on the news Or see the views on social media Another brother Shot by the cops Harmless Unarmed No weapons found on his body So how could you possibly fear for your life Your intent was simply to kill I guess you get a thrill From killing innocent black men Some of them were kids I guess the badge Gives you the right To shoot first And ask questions later I guess you get a kick Out of a mother having to dig a grave for her son And if it ain't the cops It's those who think they are Like George Zimmerman and Rick Chow As soon as they see a black child They just pull out they guns and go pow pow All I'm left to do Is dig deep in history To find out why these senseless murders keep happening First off The originsl intent of the police Was to catch runway slaves To keep us in chains That DNA Has been passed down through history Anytime a black man took a stand Against racism They labeled them as a threat And sentenced them to death Malcom, Martin Huey Newton, Fred Hampton Considered them dangerous So they had them eliminated To keep their systemic racism alive Then the FBI, CIA, DEA And any other 3 letter government agency Decided to flood our neighborhoods With drugs To turn us against one another Break up our homes Flooded our music With the glorification of the dope game and gangs We went from music of black empowerment To that which devoured the souls of our youth Confused them To believe it was cool to gang bang And slang crack on the block Now they classify us as criminals Made crack dealers Have higher sentences Than the cocaine it came from It's no doubt it was intentional By this crooked ass justice system To keep us imprisoned We should damn sure sue For the defamation That Amerikkka Has placed on my black people We are not gangs, thugs, or drug dealears We are creators, innovators Brave and bold Matter of fact We were the first people on earth A fact you can't deny So please stop with your lies of defamation
