Min vs SA
I like the group that Minnesota played with for a few minutes there to get the lead back in the 4th Ant, Mcdaniels, Randle, Reid and Gobert A lot of size defensively and caused SA a lot of trouble on the offensive side of the ball matching up and rebounding wise Excited to see more chess moves made in this series 🔥

I WISH I KNEW THIS EARLIER!!
Early on in my playing career I never truly understood the concept of your "role" I always thought you kind of just played to win. In recent years I truly started to understand there are big roles in basketball. On each team there are usually on 2-3 main scorers, how are you going to impact the game in a different way other then putting the ball in the hoop! My question to the community how would you approach a high school kid that is struggling to understand their role?

I'd first ask if their coach has given them an exact "role" because I see a lot of coaches that just assume a player is supposed to know what they're doing. After that, I'd just emphasize the value of playing. How much do you want to play? If so, you must be willing to sacrifice what YOU want for what the TEAM needs. I'd follow with trust being a huge factor in coaches making decisions. If the player can do their role and be trusted on the floor, they're more likely to have their role expanded either later in that same season or the following.
