Back from first weekend off in four years
Legitimately took four days off of work for the first time since starting this business. I am back and invigorated with ideas to help you guys EVEN MORE than before! Here are my takeaways that matter to you: 1. You don’t just want to be busy, you want to be productive - if you’re not being productive and you continue working, you’re actually hurting your future productivity. You’re not studying 15 hours a day, you’re studying 3h/day and spending 12 hours hurting tomorrow’s gains. Get started, catch momentum, push a little past when it’s gone, then stop. There’s always tomorrow. Rome wasn’t built in a day. You won’t become a cybersecurity engineer overnight. 2. Being able to take a real vacation is a joy that everyone should experience at least once. Find a career that affords you that financial liberty. For many and potentially everyone here, that’s cybersecurity. 3. YOU are among the few - most people don’t even know that cyber security exists as a job. We’re early. 4. It’s not hard to stand out. Just be focused on solving a real problem. Most people do the bare minimum. Be willing to go above and beyond, and you will truly be the exception to the rule. Remember this when job hunting. 5. Your kids deserve to see the real you without your phone every once in a while. Shout out to our amazing team @Elyza Manalac @Airese Kaw @Reid W for holding down the fort so no one skipped a beat!
