@Buddy Rushing the actual writing only took about 9 months, but thinking back a lot of the research and experimentation took a little over a year.

@Michael Wish that was amusing! Thank you. Never pictured my book in a commode, but get the reading in when you can!
Prompt Mini-Project: Resume, Cover Letter, and Real Estate
For this mini-project, I asked ChatGPT to generate sample prompts based on my most common usage patterns within my project folders. It came up with about a dozen suggestions, and I selected three to share here. These are now templates I’ll continue refining with tweaks, nuances, and specific applications. 1. Resume Prompt Role → Task → Context → Output (RTCO): - Role: Resume Builder & Editor - Task: Tailor a resume for a specific job description while maintaining consistent formatting. - Context: Applicant with government, private sector, and entrepreneurial experience seeking roles in communications, education, or business. - Output: A polished, ATS-friendly resume draft aligned with the job posting. Prompt:"Act as a resume builder. Using my comprehensive resume as a base, tailor it to match the attached job description. Keep formatting consistent and ensure alignment with required skills, keywords, and professional tone. Provide the draft in Word format with clear section headers." 2. Cover Letter Prompt Role → Task → Context → Output (RTCO): - Role: Cover Letter Writer - Task: Create a targeted cover letter that aligns skills with the job description. - Context: Experienced professional with background in leadership, administration, and project management. - Output: One-page cover letter with professional tone and clear alignment to employer needs. Prompt:"Write a one-page cover letter for the attached job posting. Highlight transferable skills, leadership experience, and specific achievements that align with the role. Keep the tone professional yet authentic, and ensure it complements my resume without repeating it." 3. Real Estate Prompt Role → Task → Context → Output (RTCO): - Role: Real Estate Analyst - Task: Analyze a property listing for investment potential. - Context: Investor using cap rate, cash flow, and financing structures (e.g., VA loan, conventional, seller financing) to evaluate multi-unit opportunities. - Output: A structured analysis including property summary, cap rate calculation, pros/cons, and financing options.

I like the RTCO formula for a prompt (very USMC). In my book, "From Idea to Reality", I go into more detail about each component just with different names, and how each can be broken down even farther. My approach to prompting is slightly less structured, and instead like to focus on Context, Clarity, and Constraints as the fundamental components for a prompt. This becomes more important when working outside of LLMs and with more unruly GPTs like Canva or Dall-E.
Writing and Content creation
I am urging Ian to use AI to create content to post on a more regular basis for his Pokemon hobby. As a teenager it is a tricky sell to take time away from his friends and games in between school work though. I keep drop hints though and showing him the content.

It would be a great skill to develop. Prompting an AI is going to be as important of a skill as typing very soon.
Welcome to AI or Die!!!
Glad you’re here! Let’s kick things off—drop an intro below with: 1. Your AI comfort level (brand new, dabbler, or confident). 2. Where you’re at in your side hustle or business journey. 3. What you want most from this community. This is how we’ll connect and help each other grow. Let’s go!!!

Hello everyone! I'm Luke Mannion, an author and AI enthusiast! I wrote a book called "From Idea to Reality" to help people new to AI with no technical expertise understand what AI is and how to best use it through our main interface: the prompt. I'm also the founder of PromptForgeX, an AI education and consulting business with the same focus and mission as the book. I'm excited to be invited by Mike to share what I can, listen to all your questions, and, most importantly, learn from Mike, Buddy, and all of you!
