Injury Prevention Week 2 (Strong Knees)
Here are 3 knee prehab exercises every soccer player should be doing before season starts (during season post coming soon). #1 Split Squat - Builds single leg strength → better force absorption → less knee stress. #2 Single Leg Calf Raises - Your calves help control knee load AND protect the Achilles. #3 Hop to Stick - Teaches the knee to accept force safely. This one is huge for ACL and patellar tendon health. These exercises should be done 2-3x a week in pre season. Who has been doing these movements? Comment below 👇🏼

Just to be clear this is not a full program. These exercises should be included into your strength program 💪🏽

@Shelby Blanchet Awesome! Sounds like you are doing things right 💪🏽 what does your current program look like?
Injury Prevention Week 1 (Knee focused)
The #1 injury I see in soccer is due to weak knees. Cutting, sprinting or landing puts a lot of impact on your knees. So keeping them strong will prevent a lot of other injuries. This week we will start with a balance assessment test. If you can’t balance on one leg for 30 seconds without wobbling… Your knees are doing too much work. Try this assessment on each leg and rate yourself 1-10 or post the video below! (I posted a video of an example) I want to know who passed and who failed?

@Bek S I will be making some injury prevention posts and content soon! Have you had any injuries before playing soccer?

@Bek S Thanks for the insight! After working with tons of soccer athletes that tends to be the common injury I'm seeing. I will be starting a Bullet proof knee segment in the OFA weight room thread here soon. So keep an eye out for that. 💪🏽

What’s the #1 thing you want to improve right now to level up your game? Speed? Conditioning? Strength? Injury prevention? Drop your answer below or add your own. I want to make content that actually helps you dominate on the field.
OFA Strength & Conditioning Coach — Jonny Moreno, owner of PeakFitness Lab. 🎉
📌 About Jonny: “My name is Jonny Moreno, a certified Strength & Conditioning coach with a passion for developing athletes. I’ve coached collegiate soccer players and D1 hopefuls, and I know exactly what kind of work it takes to level up. I grew up playing every sport I could — football, wrestling, and eventually soccer at Mesa College, where my fitness is what separated me from other more skilled players. Now I help athletes build the strength, speed, and conditioning they need to reach their next level.” @Jonny Moreno will be leading the OFA Weight Room, bringing you: • Strength programs • Speed & explosiveness training • Mobility & recovery routines • Injury-return guidance • Gym + no-equipment options • Q&A for anything physical • And soon — full 30-day training modules Welcome Jonny below 👇 and tell him what you want help with first. 💪

@Muhuned Idris Nice to meet you too! One thing I always remind my athletes is this: your skill and IQ only matter if your body can support them for the entire match. Anyone can look sharp in the first 10–15 minutes, but once you get tired, your focus drops, your decision making gets sloppy, and the game starts controlling you instead of you controlling the game. That’s why conditioning and building a strong, resilient body is so important. When you’re conditioned, you don’t fade. You stay locked in, you make good decisions, and you keep your level high from the beginning of the match to the end. That’s what separates good players from great ones.
