Bear Super Mag 48
Couple weeks ago I brought my Sanlida to my buddy at the local bow shop. He got me all tuned up. While I was there I shot this nice little Bear Super Mag. What a mistake! Now, the bow my wife bought me was a good bow and would have done what its intended purpose was, but the Bear felt amazing. I came home without it and did nothing but think about it. Last week I told my wife that I really liked the Bear, but I didn’t want to disappoint her by getting it, seeing as she gave me the Sanlida for Christmas. She had no qualms about me getting the new Bear bow. Well, today the family took a trip up to see my buddy Kevin and I came home with this beauty. Kevin Skinner at Pinnacle Sports in West Lebanon, NH is the guy to see for all your trad hunting needs. He got my bow set up, then we bare shaft tuned it. The nock needed some adjustments so he took care of that. Then he cut me some test arrows and got exactly what we needed. Shot a few of those and decided on tip weight. He then cut me a dozen new arrows and 3 flu-flu arrows. Two hours of one on one service, making sure I was all set. Love this smooth shooting little bow. Going to be great for stand, saddle and ground hunting. Made especially for short rounds like me. LOL

Welcome to the most expensive adventure 🙃 hahaha. I love the bear archery lineup. The bows anyway. I have a couple myself, not that one. Enjoy it!
Almost did it
Well, I am not going to be able to finish these arrows for our fundraiser. After I stripped the finish I thought I had just barely enough time to start over and get them done. But last night my cresting machine betrayed me. I had noticed the connection to the motor seemed poor, but when I tried to turn it on last night to finish cresting it had no connection at all. They used really poor quality wiring and the wires broke at the motor. I have always kept that thing in the box and it's only made 4 sets of arrows. Im not impressed. Bohning is sending me a new motor though so at least their service seems good. But I won't finish these in time.

@Grant Richardson yeah im taking it to my buddy to look at He's one of those guys that's really into RC trucks, he swaps diffs and stuff on them, rebuilds them, might have the stuff to make it better.

@Lance Martin nice job, feather splicing is something I intend to learn next winter
Couple questions
1. Looking for exercises to keep/get the bow muscles strong and flexible. Have been losing weight to be healthier and looking for home dumbbell workout to tone up. Appreciate any suggestions 2. My wife has had 3 failed shoulder surgeries. She is getting by with physical therapy once a week to keep her shoulder mobile. She expressed interest in shooting a recurve. Looking for training for her shoulder issue that may help with range of motion if that is even possible? Also, recurve recommendation for her. She is 5’ 1”. Thank you

I have been doing physio through an archery specific physiotherapist online for nearly a year now, and it works wonders. My wife does it now too. I hurt my shoulder last spring but thanks to all the work I was able to harvest a deer in the fall. I do alot of overhead press, dumbell front raises, and band rows
