cover designs feedback
Hello All- And @Kristin Gutierrez I would love some feedback on my cover designs.. I have a favorite but my biggest struggle is spacing, I don’t want the cover to feel cluttered, and I would like the writing to not be too close to the edge of the book. I am also not 💯 on the handwriting font on the front if the book so i wanted to get your feedback there as well. Can you tell me if there is a specific cover you like best and any feedback in general? Ultimately the color of the cover don’t will be turquoise.. Melissa

go to a bookstore and look at covers IRL and ask yourself: what do you like and why and WHAT STANDS THE TEST OF TIME

@Melissa Evans ok then maybe better to go back to your socials one more time with only 2 options. Too many people, myself included, experience decision fatigue, when there’s too many options that look similar.

Book sizes for KDP publishing
Hello @Kristin Gutierrez and anyone else who can help.. Curious what book sizes are best for amazon publishing etc, I have 2 books I am working on, one is a memoire/handbook the other is a book of poetry. I would like the book of poetry to be a smaller size than the handbook. Thanks in advance!

go into kdp for the book sizes that are "common" and choose one of those. i think it's 6x9 and 5x7 but i might be mistaken!!!! you can go to my 2 books on Amazon and see their size i believe in the description. i like the size of SYFIO better (for me) but many books come in the bigger size. Its all personal preference :) think about how many pages, etc. Also, go to a bookstore IRL and take your tape measure and look at books and how many pages for their thickness....

Domain question for my book title
Hey @Kristin Gutierrez I am looking at domains for my book and the .com of my book title is a premium website. I was looking at savagedaughters. so I saw one that was savagedaughters.global and it felt good to me, as in savage daughters all over the world turning their stories into impact. But I wanted to get your 2 cents. There was a .co as well.

go with whatever feels best - this is always changing - .co is just as good as .com so that's a solid option. maybe there's even a .book.... i would agree that buying a premium website woudln't be the way i would go to start.... savagedaughtersbymelissa or savagedaughtersthebook could be other options for now
