If someone was claiming part of their home as a rental and that renter moves out. Can you claim that as loss of income on your taxes / could this benefit reducing your taxable income?

does anyone have a home office they plan on writing off for this years taxes? what kind of questions do you have around the Home Office deduction?

I'M BACK!!! Lol, I'm sure no one even noticed since we're still all in the midst of the holidays, but I took a little break from Tax Class, but NOW I'M BACK BABY! & technically it wasn't a break from Tax Class... just a break from being active in the community/on Skool in general. I know Brian & I have hinted at some big things coming in 2026, but that's really what I've been pouring my time into. Watching all the content & learning all the things about IG posting/marketing, mapping out our IG posting schedule for the month of January, creating carousels & reels, getting back on my Canva grind, & my latest feat has been diving into automations. What is that saying? "Change is scary, but so is staying the same." That's how I've been feeling lately. A lot of "imposter syndrome" type feelings when it comes to all of the content creation & marketing stuff... but with the (not-so 😉) gentle push from my amazing partner, @Brian Rushalski, I'm jumping in with two feet & getting okay with feeling scared. I've always had a lot of passion & motivation, but I definitely struggle with the confidence in this space. I'm slowly gaining more & more every day though, & I just know that 2024 Sam is probably looking at December 31st, 2025 Sam like, "Damn!" So, here's to everyone's last day of 2025... happy to be back on here & that I get to say... Happy New Year, everyone 🎉🎉🎉 Also, feel free to comment below anything that you're currently working on in your own community, or things you're planning on for the new year, or even what your 2024 self would say to your December 31st, 2025 self 🤷‍♀️
