Small Straws In A Soft Wind by Marsha Burns
November 8, 2026 Take time to rest and recuperate from a difficult season that seemed like you were barely keeping your head above water. Do not rejoice just yet, but know that you are on your way to victory. Mathew 11:29-30 Take My yoke upon you and learn fro Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

📜 Declarations of Faith- FRUITFULNESS & EXCELLENCE
FRUITFULNESS & EXCELLENCE Father, we thank You that we are Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. We abide in You, and our lives bear much fruit. We are diligent in our assignments, faithful with our responsibilities, and excellent in the work of our hands. We do not grow weary in doing good because our strength comes from You. Everything we do is done wholeheartedly unto You, Lord, in Jesus' name! (Ephesians 2:10; John 15:5; Galatians 6:9; Colossians 3:23)

11/7 Reflections - Learning to Trust in the Fog
SOZO Reflection | Learning to Trust in the Fog Today, it dawned on me that my current season is heavily weighted on operating in patience. There seems to be a fog in my vision right now. Have you ever been in fog so thick that you can barely see beyond what is directly in front of you? Yet, this is where I get to rely on the promises laid out in the Holy scriptures! It is a lamp unto my feet, providing the spiritual insight, wisdom, and direction I need to navigate even when I cannot see what lies ahead. James 1:3-4 is a powerful promise I am holding tightly to today: “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” What a powerful revelation! Patience is not simply waiting for something to happen. It is allowing the work of God in me to reach its full expression! The fog isn't something I need to fight my way through. This season is an opportunity to become even more established in trusting the One who sees everything clearly. I don't need to see every step. I don't need to understand the entire timeline. I don't need to have all the answers today. I simply need to keep my eyes on Him, remain obedient to His Word, and allow patience to have her perfect work. Reflective Question: Where in your life are you currently experiencing a fog in your vision, and what would it look like to trust God with the unseen while remaining faithful to the step He has illuminated right in front of you? 📖 James 1:3-4 | Psalm 119:105 | Proverbs 3:5-6

@Shaamya Dishner Amen sis! 🙏🏻❤️ I was just reflecting on the things God has lead me to do this past year. It all adds up now.. the puzzle is coming together for me 🤔😂. It does actually make sense because ALL of that has equipped me to take this new thing on. It is still a big stretch and will be quite uncomfortable I’m sure.. but achievable because he’s given me the tools already and He’s put it in my heart. So 2026 was like my boot camp. 2027 I’m going to the field. I’ll have to come back to this post a year from now.

10/6 Reflections - Meditating on the Word
The more consistent I become with getting up before 5 AM to listen to the Holy Spirit, the more I understand the importance of Joshua 1:8-9! The Bible is not only the greatest love story ever told, revealing God's incredible love and sacrifice for us, but it is also our course, our instruction manual, our map, and our outline for living a life of victory! God has given us everything we need to know to walk in His ways, renew our minds, grow in wisdom, and experience the fullness of life He has made available to us. The more we meditate on His Word, the more established we become in His truth and walking by faith takes an INCREDIBLE amount of COURAGE! There is SO much richness throughout Scripture, and my prayer is that as we continue gathering together, we cover it all as the Holy Spirit leads us! Not simply to gain knowledge, but to grow in understanding, obedience, intimacy with the Lord, and the application of His Word in our daily lives. 📖 Scripture: Joshua 1:7 -8 "Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go." “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night… for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (KJV) Reflective Question: What would change in my daily life if meditating on God's Word became as consistent and intentional as breathing?

10/5 Reflection- Take the Beam Out of My Eye
Scripture: Matthew 7:3–5 (KJV) “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? … First cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.” This is my season of “take the beam out of my eye.” Over the course of my life, I have gone in and out of seasons of understanding that if I want my life to reflect God's peace, love, health, and purpose, I must take responsibility for how I steward what He has entrusted to me. However, after being a wife and mom for over 20 years, I have found VERY good excuses to avoid taking responsibility for certain results in my life. It is easy to become so focused on managing everyone else that I neglect the person God has actually given me authority to steward: ME. It is time for my focus to shift from overly managing my family to intentionally and diligently managing myself in complete surrender to God. My mind and body are still catching up to the revelation of what true humility and submission look like in everyday life. This is a process for me, and I am believing for some supernatural acceleration in this area! The takeaway: Do my very best in parenting my children, faithfully stewarding what God has entrusted to me, and casting my care for everything outside of my control. But for the things that ARE within my control? It is time to get on it! I cannot control everyone else's choices, but I can take responsibility for my obedience, my thoughts, my responses, my habits, my peace, and my walk with the Lord. Have any of you been so consumed with family that its possibly hindered your peace or progress? How have you rectified it?
