Did you know that every year on June 8th, Argentina celebrates an official national holiday called Polish Settler's Day (Día del Colono Polaco)? This unique holiday commemorates the arrival of the first organized group of Polish immigrants to Buenos Aires in 1897. These settlers significantly impacted Argentina by transforming the untamed Misiones province into highly productive agricultural land, establishing vibrant towns, and introducing new farming methods. Polish immigrants made lasting contributions to the country's economy, culture, and science, which is why Argentina – just like the USA – honors them with a dedicated holiday.

@John McGowan The Liberty Bell is located within the Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia. Depending on the years your school field trips took place, the bell stood in a slightly different location within the same park. Before 1976: It was located directly inside Independence Hall. Between 1976 and 2003: It was displayed in a special, smaller glass pavilion (Liberty Bell Pavilion). From 2003 until today: It can be viewed in the modern Liberty Bell Center building.
