Community Love Bomb Thread! Who On Skool Has Impacted You?
Skool is such a special place because of the people and the communities on this platform. So let's give our flowers while people can still smell them. 💐 Drop a comment: 1. Tag a person or community on Skool that has positively impacted you. (or a few!) 2. Then share HOW they helped, changed your thinking, encouraged you to be better, etc. 3. Respond to 3 people who tagged the same communities/people you respect too. Spread love! Winner: The member who spreads the most genuine love (most thoughtful responses) gets a free 1-on-1 Skool strategy call with me. Only available to Premium/VIP members starting next week. Go! 👇

Your Skool community is amazing! @Christian Miller invited me here and we met at The Build room, a community led by @Duncan Rogoff. I appreciate that they bring me to your world. I am so thrilled to be in this community and witness how @David Iya you built it up in a skyrocket speed not only by the number of community members and ranking, but also the engagement and value dropped inside. We all learn from each others. Feedback, comments, reviews are crucial for both personal growth and company growth! A true leader not only leads, but inspires others!

Saturday Hot Seat: Drop Your Skool. Ask Anything. Let's Sharpen Each Other ⚔️
We're about to hit 900 members and go paid on Monday. In 2 days I'll be sharing this on LinkedIn for the first time and we may hit a growth spurt. It seemed like everyone got a lot of value last time from the 'Drop Your Skool Hot Seat' post. 🚀 I also realized a lot of you had more questions after making the edits from the first round. So, let's run one more hot seat skool review! Final chance to get reviewed before things explode. Here's how things works this time: 1. Drop your Skool profile link below + any 2 questions you have about it 2. Share one line about who you are, what you're building, and your audience 3. Review at least 3 other profiles in this thread 🎁 The person who gives the most genuine help with me will get a special gift. 🎁 I'll be reviewing every single one of these personally. This time your bio, your about page, how you're presenting yourself. P.S. Lots of additional big news dropping this week. Stay tuned & happy Saturday. 🥂

How Do You Spend Sundays + What Made This Week Worth It?
The 1st week of the year is now behind us. I have two questions for you: 1. How do you reset or spend your time on Sundays? Do you plan? Rest? Reflect? Family time? Church? 2. What was the highlight of your week? Big or small, personal or professional. Let's celebrate it all. 🎉 Drop both answers below. And don't just post and scroll. 👇 If someone's Sunday ritual inspires you or their highlight makes you smile, let them know. Comment on theirs too. Let's sharpen each other and celebrate our wins together for the week. Last Call: Premium & VIP are 55% off until tomorrow. After that, prices increase permanently. And finally, the biggest announcement I've ever made in the BBC drops TOMORROW. Stay tuned. 🛰️ 😎

@David Iya Great to hear that you played Guitar for 9 years! That is fabulous! I am preparing my digital nomad life in 6 years. Guitar and a dog are part of the plan :)
What Was Your First Job? 💼
I love hearing people's first jobs. Usually, it's so far from where they are now. Sometimes it caused a pivot in their life. Sometimes it was the beginning of a new adventure. What was your very first job? Or first few? And here's the real question: What did your first few jobs teach you that you still use today? Mine was at Hollister folding clothes and pretending the dimly lit store wasn't making me nauseous from the cologne. After that, since I was living in Florida, I became a pool boy, which sounds way cooler than it was. Mostly just long days in the Florida heat - skimming, scrubbing, hauling chlorine buckets, and hoping I didn't get another sunburn. (yes, I can get sunburnt lol) I also worked in the actual pool supply store filling up chlorine jugs, and I bleached more pairs of shoes than I can count. Looking back, as unglamorous as they were. I learned more from those jobs than I realized at the time. For me? Mine taught me patience, and attention to detail. How to read people and adjust based on who I'm talking to. And honestly, just to show up and be my best self no matter what the job is. Those early jobs definitely boosted my EQ in ways I didn't realize until years later. Drop your first job below and what it taught you.👇 And let's make this fun; scroll through the comments and find a few people who had the same job as you, or learned something similar, or maybe just a few interesting stories that resonates with you. 🫂

@Iris Ocariza I came here from Beijing, China as a student, got two master's degrees, computer science and Industrial chemistry. When I graduate from the computer science degree, no one can land a job (2002) even for US citizens due to tech bubble. We had to get a working visa to work here in the US. It made it extremely difficult for us. I continued my 2nd MS in chemistry and started as a research assistant in a biotech company in Cambridge MA in 2004 (after the 2nd master's degree was obtained). Several lay-offs in that industry, got fired once (even I worked 14 hours and traveled domestically and internationally for them), quit 2 times. The last one is to exit the workforce once for all...
