Homeschooling and Grandparents - Oh My!
As a 20+ year homeschool veteran, I'm excited to be collaborating with @Anna Murrietta talking about homeschooling, how grandparents can support this effort, and most importantly, how to build connections while making learning fun. Bringing my experience as a single mom, working full-time, homeschooling two competitive junior athletes, plus a dad who was super supportive in the granddad role, I bring a unique perspective to the table. What questions do you have about homeschooling? Join us 10 June 2026 11 a.m. EST - New York Inside Granparent's Corner

@Heather Wilson should both Anna and I post something for the calendar or just @Anna Murrietta since it's in her community?

@Amy Grantham my dad was that way at first. He’d been taught one way and it was hard for him to change. After watching my daughter blossom and discovering he had more time with her, we slowly won him over.
Heather To The Rescue 🦸‍♀️
After yesterdays wheel coming off completely I need to do a huge shout out to another Heather for coming to my rescue. At @Heather Di Rocco of Ai in Wonderland has worked some incredible magic to get things working for the Weekly Bulletin this week. So a big round of applause goes to her. I have no idea how she has done what she has done but she is a amazing at this sort of thing, whereas Im not. So a big round of applause to you Heather.

Are You A Lover Of Wine? ........This Is For You. 🍷
I wanted to highlight this event a little bit more for @Isabelle Lesschaeve because Im certain we have some wine lovers out there who would love to know a bit more about how to know whats what within that glass of wine. So if this is for you, read on......... Not all are green 🟢 - Live Class June 10, 3:00 PM EDT Here's what happens when you stop being sensory curious. And it almost cost me the chance to attend an amazing tasting experience.🍷 I hadn't signed up for this tasting because I have little affinity for this varietal. However, when I was offered a free ticket, I hesitated and accepted "to be polite." Here I was, in the Sensory Theatre of the Robert Mondavi Institute, seated in front of 12 glasses, filled with a different Cabernet Sauvignon sample. For me, Cabernet Sauvignon is both 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵: two descriptors that make me usually say "no, thanks." If you have tasted different varietal wines for some time, chances are that you have also built representations of certain varietal wines. Maybe: • Banana candy for Beaujolais nouveau • Oaky and buttery for Chardonnay • Grapefruit and peach for Sauvignon blanc But this tasting changed my mind. These 12 wines tasted all different. Yes, there were two, which I described as "green and astringent." But the other samples had different flavour profiles. • Some were floral and spicy • Some were dark berries with sweet aromatics • Some were very complex, with floral, spicy, chocolate, and fruity flavours . That's why I'm excited to host 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 next Wednesday. Each month, we expand our wine palate through sensory practice.

Oh, this takes me back to my restaurant manager days and wine tastings. How I miss those days. It’s been years since I’ve had a drink but this may be fun just for the adventure.

What A Shit Start 💩
Warning a rant is coming up but I am sharing this so I can be quite honest with you. I spent just about all my week end nutting out the next stage of my improvements to getting everyones events into the weekly bulletin to make it a much easier journey for us all. I polished up the template, created the google form and sheet, yes I know that gets automatically created from the form but I still had to do some extra formatting in there to make it work for canva bulk. Thinking I had nailed it, no I hadnt, I had issues with images, I had issues with the time showing correctly and some. But I was determined to get this launched for this week. I did no end of testing, with the form, the sheet and canva bulk create. At last everything was working, yippee I thought. So as you know I launched it. I got my first events registrations coming through and still had a glitch re the images but I sorted that. So I thought now I have a few registration forms in I would do the first bulk create. No.... canva decided not to. I spent ages last night trouble shooting, I have done so many things and it still didnt work. So I thought I would go to bed and perhaps the glitch will be gone in the morning. Well the glitch is still there and now Canva has stuffed up my template, everytime I go to recreate it the glitch is still causing problems with the template. Im now in tears as its Wednesday and I know a lot of events will be coming through . All that time and effort disappearing down the drain. Then to top it all a member asks me what the process was , so I give an explanation of post in the feed and if you want the event in the weekly bulletin , calendar and event classroom then she would need to join premium which is still back at $5. Well she churned stating she didnt believe in this method. Seriously the amount of time it takes me and my daughter plus Mary to get the events into the weekly bulletin, the calendar, the classroom and the flip book warrants far more than $5 per month, just being honest, but as we are still in our early phase $5 is where it is at whilst we are still developing and growing.

Sending hugs and tech mojo. I feel your frustration. I’ll have all of my items tomorrow morning. Been hanging out with a toddler all day and I need to nap.
