Excited to learn more about this 🙌
coloring book question
Hope its ok to ask this here, if not pls let me know. i just published my first coloring book, my friend ordered it and her 12yr old autistic grandchild looked at the pages and got upset saying its ai, thats stealing from artists, she picked out some minor flaws i hadnt seen or anyone checking it, aid that detail in some areas pointed to ai, ..i unpublished it, i'm now having chat go through again and report any findings, but i'm wary of republishing it. i'm assuming most people here are getting chat etc to create the drawings, how do you manage consistency of style (i am using the prompt from coloring bk challenge) and do you redo things with another tool? i struggle with canva so havent done that. i've written 3 books (self written not ai)and dont want this to affect those book sales. ..sorry for the long post but i'm a bit stumped at the moment

I’ve used chatGPT and Claude. I create a master plan bible for the brand, a book concept and character reference sheet (to use alongside each image I create). I then create a prompt for each image, run it and then tweak as needed. It can be a long process but it’s worth it to get consistency throughout the book for the characters. I follow lots of colourists who hate AI but I’m hoping some people appreciate Brollywick - my little cosy colouring corner of Britain

@Carolyn Ching I mainly use chat for the prompts and images and then once I have everything together, or two versions of an image, I run it past Claude. Claude then gives me a full analysis of why I should use a particular image based on line thickness, % of blank colouring space left on the page and compares everything to my book bible so everything stays consistent.
How Do You Get Paid?
💰 You Published Your Book on Amazon KDP… Now How Do You Get Paid? I've been seeing this question pop up quite a bit lately! Authors finally get their books published on Amazon, but then they're wondering… 🤔 How do I know if someone bought my book? 🤔 Where can I see how much money I've made? 🤔 When does Amazon actually pay me? If you're new to Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), here's how it works! 💵 1. How Do You Make Money With KDP? When someone purchases your paperback, hardcover, or eBook, you earn a royalty. Your royalty is the portion of the sale that Amazon pays you after applicable costs and fees. You can also earn royalties when Kindle Unlimited subscribers read pages of an eligible eBook enrolled in KDP Select! 📊 2. Where Do You Find Your Earnings? This is the part many new authors miss! 👉 Log in to your KDP account at https://kdp.amazon.com 👉 Click Reports at the top of your dashboard. 👉 Select Royalties Estimator to see how much you've earned. You can filter your earnings by book, marketplace, format, and date range. Want to see how many books you've sold? Check the Orders report! You can also go directly to your reports here: https://kdpreports.amazon.com 📅 3. When Does Amazon Pay You? Here's the important part: Amazon doesn't pay you immediately after a sale! KDP typically pays royalties approximately 60 days after the end of the month in which the sale was reported. For example: 📚 January sales → Paid at the end of March 📚 February sales → Paid at the end of April 📚 March sales → Paid at the end of May Expanded Distribution royalties generally take longer (approximately 90 days). So don't panic if you made sales this month but haven't received a deposit! 🏦 4. How Do You Receive Your Money? Amazon sends your royalties using the payment method you've set up in your KDP account. Make sure your banking information and tax details are completed correctly. Good news! Electronic funds transfers generally have no minimum royalty threshold, so you don't need to sell hundreds of books before receiving your first payment. Check and wire payments may have minimum thresholds.

How to Make Nostalgic Coloring Books ❤️
Sorry I have been MIA the last few days; my whole family was down with an illness, and I needed to rest both physically and mentally. I was finally feeling better, so I created this Nostalgic Coloring Book training based on a new prompt collection. I know you all will love this because these prompts really take you back in time, whether you're reflecting on your parents' life or your grandparents' life. These nostalgic books make it feel truly special. ❤️ 👉The Full 336 Nostalgic Coloring Prompts Pack Only $27

Oh wow this is great! Is it all American nostalgia or are there any British prompts in there? Thank you.
