Life has taken an unexpected twist. Back in July, I was invited to a prison down the road from me to do a guest talk. One of the guys had been writing to his buddy and had read my book, Wing of an Angel. He then invited me back for a day supporting veterans in prison, and I decided to take along @Louise Knighton And the buddy that was supporting him, we all had a fabulous day. Real interesting prisoner with an amazing rehabilitative attitude, and I even had "Play My Way" by Frank Sinatra. Oh, and a cake because it was my birthday. We did that visit without any agenda or reason other than to support the guy who had reached out and asked us to come and do a talk. It was totally voluntary, and the two girls were amazing. We had a lot of fun together. This week, the prison governor, who is called a director because it's a private prison, reached out to me to ask what it would be like if we were to provide our services into that prison on a longer-term basis. I have a curriculum and a program from my days of running the nonprofit Beyond Recovery, so I set up a call with him to discuss what that might look like. This morning, I spent 3 hours writing a proposal to take that curriculum back into a prison that I worked with in 2016. When it wasn't so innovative and to be honest, it was hard work. I've had all sorts of other ideas (being an entrepreneur) about what could follow, because that's the way my mind goes, but what I truly know is that when you do anything like this, you just submit it and you say, "We'll see." It could come off. It might not come off. Some other different thing might come off. But it reminded me deeply of how we can never know what's coming our way and what might grow from that. We can never know the impact we're having and the ripple effects from that. We can never know what life has in store for us. We just have to be ready to say yes when it offers something. If you had one focus this week what would it be? I have a list of things I want to get done but if I narrow that down to the ONE thing I want to achieve it would be promoting my Masterclass on Thursday - I've neglected it a bit so I want to give it some love. Not because I wanted the job. Because I'd just closed ten years of work I loved, and I didn't think I had anything left to charge for. Rob looked over from the sofa and said, "why don't you just get some clients?" That question started the whole shift. From giving my genius away for free, to finally getting paid for it. Send your pictures if possible:) Friday I took a lovely long walk around Delapre Abbey (near you @Louise Knighton) with @Claire Underwood and saw the biggest pumpkin ever! Yesterday I binged watched entrepreneurs podcasts and wrote two pitches for guest speaking. Hollows went out for the day with his son. We received a cute letter from our daughter in law about visiting our granddaughter with a sweet memento so I decorated a page in my bullet journal for that. Today I’m writing for Inside Time newspaper and the final edit of my introduction for the new book - Charge Your Worth.

This weekend I continue my journey of exploring how to get in front of other people's audiences through podcasts. I'm reminded how 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 in all forms of business. Greg Fisher is in my nonprofit community for writing letters to people in prison, and in our intake, he mentioned that he had a podcast called Coach-2 Coach. I asked him if I'd be a good guest, and he said yes. Also reminding me that 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁, as my friends from the North would say, "Shy bairns get nowt."
