20 Day Spanish Notebook-Only Video Course 🇲🇽
Conversational Spanish in 30 minutes a day, for 20 days, using only a notebook. Full Course: https://www.skool.com/linguablox/classroom This video course is a culmination of nearly 20 years teaching conversational Spanish. It's the exact way I teach Spanish to military special forces before deployment. The course is for anyone who is not yet conversational in Spanish. The course is NOT for anyone who wants to study Spanish in theory, but not communicate in real life. This is Day 1. You need 30 minutes, uninterrupted. And a notebook. The course is available ONLY in this Skool group. Please do not spend years and years and dollars and dollars chasing delusional methods in apps, books, and with teachers. There is nothing standing in the way between you and Conversational Spanish. We have cleared the path, simplified the approach, and built the bridge. As you'll see when you watch the first video, the method will empower you to learn as fast (or slow) as you want to, using the following principles: - Language learning happens ONLY when you are communicating. - Questions and Answers are a back-and-forth game (like tennis). - Language is a Creative Tool. - The OPI (military speaking test) is the only way to test your progress. All of this will become completely clear as you go through the course. And with these new language learning epiphanies, you'll realize that speaking Italian, German, Portuguese, Arabic, or any other language of your choosing can be a reality, too. Take a seat. Grab a notebook and pen. And let's think, write, and speak Spanish.

@Dylan Smith Hi Dylan, I'm glad to hear it's working for you. There is only one measure of progress in this method: How well you can answer questions. This can be tricky to measure by yourself ... imagine instead of Spanish, this is chess. How can you measure how well you're playing chess if there isn't a partner? The proof will be how well you can answer (and ask) questions when you go to speak Spanish with someone in real life. There are some ways you can test yourself though. I like to make 'Question Cards'. You write a question on one side of an index card in Spanish (no English), and write an answer or multiple answers on the back. Pull a card, read the question out loud, answer the question out loud. Another way is to write questions for yourself in a notebook, you can ask ChatGPT to generate questions if you like, and practice writing your answers to the question. There's a mantra: The best speaking practice is speaking practice. The second best speaking practice is writing practice. You can do this as often as you want. It should feel satisfying in the same way that solving a crossword puzzle is satisfying. Think of Spanish like a puzzle you're solving. The question prompt is the puzzle you have to solve. How will you form your answer using the Spanish puzzle pieces?

@Steve Latham hi Steve, all tenses. The tool you will learn to create in your notebook is called the Verb Map -- infinite conversational possibilities in all tenses.
Speaking a Language by 'Pushing Buttons'
We can instantly converse just by pushing the 'buttons' of a language.

The First 15 Minutes
There's that show The First 48 Hours where they say if detectives can't find a suspect in the first 48 hours, the chances of them ever finding the suspect goes way down. I've had this idea that if I'm not expressing thoughts and conversing in the first (insert amount of time), the chances of ever conversing goes way down. With that in mind, this video demonstrates one way to spend the first 15 minutes: asking ChatGPT to generate a question, and then breaking that question down into 'buttons' that let you 'play' the language like a keyboard. The language I'm using to demonstrate the concept is Bosnian which was a random request from a viewer, and works well because I didn't know anything about Bosnian. The idea here is that even if you're past your first "48 hours" in Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, etc., it's not too late to start your first 48 hours over again approaching the language this way. The PDF version of the Bosnian 'control panel' is downloadable in this post to the right of the video.
