From Prajñāparādha to Practice: Ayurveda in a Changing World
Today’s Coffee Time Talk explored Ayurveda as a lived daily reality in India, contrasted with the West where it is often studied rather than embodied. We discussed personalized nutrition, food culture, and how real-life factors like location, availability, and finances shape our choices more than ideals like “organic,” alongside Prajñāparādha—the concept from the Charaka Samhita describing when we know what is right but fail to act on it. We also touched on discipline, conscious living, and this question: as AI reshapes our world, what new mental health challenges are we truly preparing for?

Professional Standards & Regulatory Framework
Hello, I wanted to share two recent resources from the Ayurveda College of British Columbia and the Ayurveda Association of British Columbia that may be of interest to you: Regulatory Framework for Ayurveda in British Columbia https://ayurvedacollege.ca/about/regulatory-framework AABC Professional Standards Framework https://ayurvedaassociationbc.ca/professional-standards.html These documents outline the current regulatory context for Ayurveda in BC and the professional standards framework being developed to support responsible professional growth in Canada. Recognizing that these are substantial reference documents, audio versions are on both websites for those who may prefer to listen rather than read. On behalf of the Boards of Directors and Advisors of ACBC and AABC, we would welcome these resources being shared within the broader Ayurveda community, as well as any thoughts or feedback you may wish to offer. Thanks, Shaughn Jenson
