Your Author Central profile gives readers a place to learn more about you and discover your other books. You can add your author bio, connect your books to your profile, add photos, and create a more professional presence on Amazon. But there are also some useful features behind the scenes that authors sometimes forget about. I was checking one of my pen name profiles and just noticed that it has ❤️ 616 Amazon followers! 🤯 I honestly hadn’t been paying much attention to that number. When someone follows you on Amazon, they may receive updates when you release new books, which gives you another built-in audience you can continue growing over time. Last year, I spent a lot of time marketing my books with video on TikTok Shop, and it worked. I was selling a few hundred books a month from it part-time. But eventually, I stopped. Not because video stopped working — but because constantly coming up with ideas, writing scripts, getting camera-ready, filming, editing, and posting became a lot to maintain while juggling everything else. And I know a lot of authors here probably feel the same way.
