I used to think confident people simply had fewer doubts. Now I believe something different. The people I admire most still have questions. They still wonder if they’re doing the right thing. They still face uncertainty. The difference is they don’t let those doubts make today’s decisions. Every day in communities like this, I see people learning something new, trying something they’ve never done before, and encouraging others while they’re still growing themselves. That isn’t the absence of fear. That’s confidence in action. This week, let’s stop waiting to feel perfectly ready. Let’s take one step anyway. This morning I made a simple decision. I decided not to give my attention to everything competing for it. There is always something happening in the world. There are always challenges we didn’t expect. But I’ve learned that if I’m not intentional, distractions will quietly replace my priorities. So this week I’m choosing to stay focused. To keep learning. To keep building. To keep encouraging others. One of the things I appreciate most about communities like PPP is that we don’t have to grow alone. We celebrate one another’s progress, share what we’re learning, and remind each other to keep moving forward. One thing I’ve learned is that growth doesn’t happen only while we’re working. Sometimes it happens while we’re reflecting. This morning I’ve been thinking about the people who believed in me, encouraged me, challenged me, and helped shape the person I’m still becoming. It reminded me that communities like this matter. We don’t simply share ideas. We encourage one another to keep moving forward, even when life gets difficult. As we begin this first week of August, thank you for being part of a community that continues to learn, support, and celebrate one another. Every single day, people showed up. Some were celebrating victories. Some were quietly carrying burdens no one else could see. Some were learning something completely new.
