Parts to download
Hi there, Chris. Are the parts used within Design Foundations to CSWA, available for download? Please advise. Many thanks.

Hi Wayne, Everything required for the course is accessible via the resources (links at the bottom of the classes). There are only a couple of files. If you're referring to the Pulley Project that is used as an example throughout, you can download a copy here. This project has a complete course playlist on YouTube. I haven't ported it across to Skool yet. If there's anything that you'd like to see or get access to, let me know and I'll be happy to share. Cheers
Questions for livestream?
Hey all, hope you’re doing well. In the livestream tomorrow I’m continuing the current build, finishing off some parts ready for assembly. Looking to answer any questions you may have, post below!

👋 Start here — welcome to the Fully Defined community
Hey, I'm Chris — product design engineer with 15+ years in industry, CSWE, and the person behind Fully Defined. This community exists for one reason: to help you get genuinely good at SolidWorks, from a designer's perspective. Not a textbook perspective, not a mechanical engineering perspective — a product designer's perspective. There's a difference, and it matters. Here's what you'll find here: 📚 Courses — structured learning, starting from zero 💬 Community — ask questions, share your work, get unstuck 🎥 Content — videos, livestreams, and resources that go beyond the YouTube channel Where to start There are two ways in, depending on how you like to learn: 1. Learn by doing — start with the LEGO CAD Library. You'll build real parts from day one, develop parametric thinking naturally, and not even realise how much you're picking up. No pressure, just progress. 2. Learn by structure — start with SolidWorks for Designers, available here in Skool. It's a linear path from the SolidWorks interface through to CSWA exam preparation, built around a single project that accumulates across every section. Either way, both paths lead to the same place — confident, capable SolidWorks skills from a designer's perspective. A third step is in the works. I'll let you know when it's ready. A few things worth knowing: > Ask anything. If you're stuck, post it. The only bad question is the one you didn't ask because you thought it was too simple. > Share your work. Models, sketches, screenshots — even the messy ones. That's how you get useful feedback. > This is a practitioner's community. Come here to improve, and you will. Drop a comment below and introduce yourself — where you're at with SolidWorks, what you're working on, or what brought you here. I read every one. — Chris

@Wayne Hinrichsen everything that’s currently organised is here. Plenty of videos on YouTube that haven’t been organised yet but once they are, they will be here too

@Wayne Hinrichsen the only Paid course I have on Skool is the Designer Foundations to CSWA ($99). You already have access to this - provided free of charge as an early member.
New Series, beginning LIVE tomorrow
Hi All, There's been a few new members joining recently, nice to see the numbers slowly growing. For those that don't know, I host a live stream on YouTube every fortnight, with the next one coming up tomorrow. I'll be starting a new LEGO build with something a little different than Technic. If you can't catch it live, the replay will always be available on YouTube as well. During the session it's open Q&A and I'm happy to help with any problems you may be having in SolidWorks. Feel free to leave any questions below

Learn Assemblies with the LEGO Motorcycle
Hi all, I've just finished splitting and posting the LEGO Motorcycle Assembly masterclass into a series of lessons to step through one at a time. The video content has been broken up, and each lesson description includes what you can expect to learn from participating. If you want to learn more about SolidWorks Assemblies, with ready-made files to use, this is the place. It was a fun assembly to complete, and reviewing it again now reminds me how fun it can be to build. I'll be picking up the next LEGO challenge in the 2nd half of the year! If you have suggestions, let me know. Hope you enjoy!

@Edward Zacharia Perhaps I'll take a look at motion studies or animations sometime in the future. I think they're nice to have, but better tools (particularly for animation) exist in other software. I've almost never used motion studies and always found animations in SolidWorks challenging.
