Let it go.
Publishing my songs taught me something unexpected.
When I want proof of my worth, I can press play. Any streaming device. Any moment. There it is — evidence that I made something real.
Hearing my own work lifts me when I’m tired, confused, or doubting myself.
It reminds me: I’ve done this before. I can do it again.
The more proof I have of past creative effort, the easier it becomes to create the next thing. My relationship with writing shifts from emotional and subjective to grounded and objective. Writing becomes momentum.
Every song, newsletter, or book reinforces my identity as a writer.
Every piece published reinforces my belief that writing is setting me free.
