First, please know that I'm sharing this out of love and compassion. If you feel triggered, or singled out, or like you're being attacked then that's all the more reason to look in the mirror and be honest with yourself as the behavior I'm about to share with you is toxic. It's a disease that needs to be stamped out. Killed. Or it will spread like a cancer infecting not just your agency but every other area of your life as well.
Here's the deal...
After 10+ years doing marketing, over 900 videos posted to my YouTube channel, millions of emails sent, and thousands and thousands of students coached to 6 and 7-figure students I can tell you without a doubt that one of the most dangerous attitudes to have (and something ALL struggling and failing entrepreneurs share) is that of the CYNIC.
The original Cynics were ancient Greek philosophers who never had a good word to say about anyone.
The modern day Cynic is the one posting comments below YouTube videos saying "this doesn't work". The one complaining in the group that "cold email" doesn't work. "Cold calling" doesn't wok. "Networking" doesn't work. "Facebook Ads" don't work. NOTHING works.
Can I tell you a secret? It ALL works. Not just for me. Not just for a select few. But for the countless thousands of people who have taken action and gotten results.
It's ok to be frustrated, this is a sign that you need to change (either your strategy or your volume of effort) but successful people don't post negative comments. They don't b*tch or moan or complain - they just get to work.
If something doesn't work (and it rarely does in the beginning) then successful people try something else. They adjust. Adapt. Learn. Grow. And accept theses early failures as the price of admission to a life that most people can only ever dream of.
Do successful people have doubts? Fears? Concerns? OF COURSE!!
But they know that action trumps all. (We have a saying inside the private Agency Accelerator community that goes "MIA" and it stands for "massive imperfect action" because that is the secret to rapid progress and results).
All complaining does is attract other complainers (misery loves company after all) which leads to a pity party where nothing gets done.
Hugs,
Adam
